
CORI DOERRFELD has been creating art since she could first hold a pencil. After graduating with a degree in studio art from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, she received her Post Baccalaureate from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. With a strong passion for animation and children’s literature, Cori has always tried to create art that tells a story. Cori is the author-illustrator of the highly-acclaimed THE RABBIT LISTENED (Dial/Penguin Random House), which has been translated into 23 languages, as well as several other books including THE WELCOME WAGON (Abrams), GOODBYE, FRIEND! HELLO, FRIEND! (Dial/Penguin Random House), WILD BABY and GOOD DOG (both from HarperCollins). Cori has also illustrated books by other authors, including THAT’S LIFE! by Ame Dyckman and THE TRUE STORY OF ESTHER THE WONDER PIG by Steve Jenkins and Derek Walter (both from Little, Brown).
