MADELINE GOBBO has illustrated two books for adults: LOOSE LIPS (Grand Central) and Daniel Ortberg’s TEXTS FROM JANE EYRE (Henry Holt). Her art style favors bold, flowing ink lines, strong women and hybrid creatures. Madeline holds an MA in Fiction from UC Davis and has had fiction, illustrations, and essays published in Wolfman New Life Quarterly, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Joyland, Territory, and Foglifter. With Jessica Placzek, she produced season 3 of SFMOMA’s art podcast Raw Material. Madeline lives in a treehouse in West Hollywood and works as a bookseller at Skylight Books.
