JUNQI is a Singaporean illustrator/writer/storyteller and a “thought-provoking jade curio” (yes, the literal meaning of her name!) with a past life in software engineering and tech leadership. As an illustrator she mainly works digitally, with Krita – a FLOSS  (Free/Libre Open Source Software) digital painting software – being her go-to tool, but keeps in touch with her traditional side through travel sketches and paintings in gouache and mixed media. She has conducted storytelling sessions at libraries and performed at festivals, writing her own scripts adapted from Asian folklore. Her picture-book stories, ranging from lyrical to quirky to adventurous, also draw on her multicultural Southeast Asian and Chinese heritage. You can find her online at tanjunqi.art/.
