LARISSA MARANTZ has illustrated a four-book picture-book series entitled CLYDE THE HIPPO, which launched from Penguin Workshop/Penguin Random House this spring. She’s also illustrating the middle-grade graphic novel BLAKE LASER, about a 12-year old inventor in the 24th century, forthcoming from HarperCollins. When Larissa isn’t creating her own art, she’s teaching figure drawing to animation students at Laguna College of Art and Design. She also runs her own company, OC Art Studios, through which she teaches art to elementary through high-school age students. Prior to illustrating, Larissa worked as a character designer on Nickelodeon’s “Rugrats” and “Rocket Power”. She lives in Orange County, California.
