Molly Ruttan

Molly-2018_fin-(cropped)MOLLY RUTTAN is an author/illustrator who grew up in beautiful Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. She and her twin sister spent their childhood drawing, painting, playing music and making all kinds of things—stuffed animals, games, and of course, books! Molly graduated with a BFA in graphic design from the Cooper Union School of Art and has since won several SCBWI portfolio honors. She is the author-illustrator of SOMETHING WILD and THE STRAY (both from Nancy Paulsen Books/Penguin Random House) and has also illustrated Abigail Rayner’s I AM A THIEF and VIOLET AND THE CRUMBS (both from NorthSouth), as well as Stacy Lynn Carroll’s THE YOWLERS (forthcoming from Nancy Paulsen Books/Penguin Random House). Molly is married to her childhood sweetheart and fellow musician, with whom she has three daughters. They live in Echo Park, California, where she works as a graphic designer and artist.
