NATALIA YASKINA studied illustration and book design at Moscow State University of Printing Arts. She has illustrated over ten award-winning books, which have been published in Russia, Germany, Austria, China and Turkey. Her work has been shown worldwide, including at the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava and in the exhibition “Drawn Worlds: 1001 Outstanding International Picturebooks”, curated by the Moscow International Book Fair in collaboration with the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Natalia works primarily in color using traditional materials such as gouache, watercolor and colored pencils—sometimes in combination with digital techniques. Additionally, she enjoys creating black-and-white illustrations using ink. Natalia loves to discover new drawing techniques, and creates stories filled with play and experimentation.
