DARCY DAY ZOELLS is an author and illustrator from Chicago. She illustrated WHEN GOD GAVE US WORDS by Sandy Eisenberg Sasso (Flyaway Books), and also writes her own stories. Her piano illustration was chosen for “The Children-Spectators”, a special exhibition in conjunction with the 2019 Bologna Book Fair. Pianos pop up from time to time in her work since she and her husband run a piano shop with a concert hall and recording facility. Darcy works primarily in watercolor, ink, and pencil, and finishes her images on the computer.
