MADLY KIM is a Bucks County–based artist who illustrates timeless, heartfelt stories using watercolor and colored pencil. The daughter of teachers, she grew up in an international setting surrounded by musicians, writers, and artists who nurtured her early love of books and pictures. Her background in Social Work, Art Education, and her experience as an international adoptee deeply informs her creative practice. She is especially drawn to projects that feature historic settings, strong family dynamics, myth/magic, and a good tree for climbing. Madly studied at the School of Visual Arts. She was awarded the SCBWI 2025 Ezra Jack Keats Showcase Prize. You can find her online at madlykim.com and on Instagram and Bluesky @madlyart
